We're baaaack.
From Washington that is.
Actually we got back a couple weeks ago now.
And we picked up a puppy in Kentucky along the way!
Everybody this is Bane.
He is a Shiba Inu.
He is 10 weeks now.
And we love him.
Scratch that.
We are creepy, madly, obsessed, in love with him.
As though he was our first born.
He's so funny.
And naughty.
And fluffy.
And playful.
And naughty.
And cuddly.
Some of my favorite parts about him...
He likes to be on his back and for you to hold him like a baby.
He goes into our bedroom to take naps with us.
He jumps off of high objects.
He prances when he runs.
He can sit already!
He FREAKS out when we get home because he missed us so much.
Some of my least favorite parts about him...
He likes to growl at other dogs (until he gets too close then he realizes he's way too small to compete)
Need I continue?
He likes to bite his leash.
He bites my legs.
He chews on mostly anything.
But then he comes over and cuddles and I can't help but love him.
I think I will stop here..
I have made my point of how much we love him.
Expect lots more from this little munchkin.

To the Rainy State We Go...
As I write this I sit in an uncomfortable airport bench seat waiting for our (Matt + I) flight to start boarding back home to Washington!
We were a little over-zealous to get back home and might have arrived at our gate two hours before we have to leave... But that's okay because this gives me some time to catch up on a blog post...
And now you are caught up.
This week has been so crazy! Matt started driving at FedEx as an official driver. Kylie (SIL) + I started a 12 week training plan for our Half Marathon we are going to be running in Myrtle Beach this coming October. And Ryan and Kylie left Virginia for good to live in Washington. Leaving us all by our lonesome in Lynchburg.
At first we were devastated that they left. We still are, really. But we have had some clarity about the situation and we know that Lynchburg is where God is calling us to stay right now. Whether our best friends are here or not.
While that is all well and good, we are insanely excited to get home and see all of your beloved friends and family that we have missed for so long! It has been almost one entire year since we have been home and it is long overdue.
We have made a small bucket list of things we must do while we are back:
- Panda Express. (Matt is going to pee his pants when we finally get some Panda).
- Delicious coffee. We have missed our delicious coffee.
- Hiking! We love to hike and we don't get enough of it in Virginia. We want some REAL mountains!
- Pikes Place Market and doing the whole Seattle thing.
- Moses Lake trip for a couple of days!
- OUTLET MALL! We are ready for some MUCH better shopping.
- Some real seafood! Nothing is better than seafood from Seattle.
- Celebrating our one year anniversary! (yep, it's almost already been a year!)
- MOSTLY just spending time with the people we love more than anything.
Oh and the second best part? When we get back to Virginia we get a puppy!!
Well it's about time to board this flight. Wish us luck, like that we don't crash or anything.
See you in Seattle,
xo/Austin

How Long Has It Been Now?
Hello loves,
So you probably have given up on me. On my blog anyway. I kind of did too. But I decided that it's about time I start updating this thing so everyone back home (and anyone who might care) gets the scoop on whats happening in the life of the Hustons.
Sorry if you missed the blog. I have had a busy (almost) first year of marriage. School, work, marriage... it adds up to be a lot! I always felt like if I had my blog I'd have to update daily or almost daily. And well that just isn't an option in my life. So if you're willing to jump back on the roller coaster of inconsistency that is this blog thank you! If not, I don't blame you!
This last year has been amazing and crazy all rolled up into one mess of a ride. I only have 2 more semesters of school at Liberty University before I (hopefully) will be starting grad school for my Occupational Therapy degree! Matt has decided to go for a Bachelors degree in business and admin. while he decides what he wants to do after that. Nursing is not out of the picture, just not the only option as of right now. I kinda think he'd make a killer Pharmaceutical rep.
We are still in Virginia, livin' the dream ;] While we don't necessarily LOVE Lynchburg as much as we hoped we would, we are confident that we are still here in God's will and will most likely be here for another several years. Kylie & Ryan (my bro+sis in law) are moving back to Washington in like a week (literally) and we are more than devastated. But happy for their new journey starting. We will definitely miss them though.
We have a new addition to our family coming on August 7th! He is a Shiba Inu puppy and his name is Bane (you guessed it, like the Batman villain). We couldn't be anymore excited! Ready to grow this family of ours (but ONLY with a puppy, don't get your brain racing to babies just yet!)
Matt is working for FedEx as a driver now and I am working as a barista at a coffee stand around here.
We recently bought a 2008 Kia Optima and just sold Matt's 250 Ninja Kawasaki street bike. Looks like we're starting to grow up huh?
We will be visiting family and friends in Washington in less than two weeks and my have we missed them! We can't wait to catch up and go home for a short time. We know we are where we are supposed to be, but that doesn't mean we miss home!
Well that's the update for now. I have missed this and hope to be better dedicated to updating :] I will try for you, I promise!
So much love,
xo/Austin

The Blog is Back.
Hey guys, sorry for the hiatus.
You could say it was a busy summer.
But I'm back in Virginia, in school again, and am ready to pick Love Like A Hurricane back up!
Hope you all forgive me for being gone so long!
Here's a recap of my crazy, amazing summer!
May:
May was mostly dedicated to prep for Ryan and Kylie's wedding!
Including, bridal showers, couple showers, and bachelorette parties!
It was a crazy busy month, but so much fun!
June 22, 2012:
That was Ryan and Kylie's wedding.
It was the first wedding of the summer, and it was one that was hard to live up to!
It was so much fun celebrating my new brother and sister-in-law getting married! And we had SUCH a blast!
June 30, 2012:
That was my best friend, Miriam and Marcus's wedding!
It was such a blessing to get to experience my best friend's big day with her!
I was also forced against my own will (mainly because I was the Maid of Honor) to give a speech, in which leading up to I was 95% sure I was going to hyperventilate and die. (I didn't die if you were curious).
Also, one of my biggest nightmares happened that day... My only job being the MOH was to bring Marcus' ring... I had it in my purse, safely stored all day so I wouldn't lose it. So safe that I didn't even bring it on stage for the ceremony. :/ TERRIBLE MAID OF HONOR!
July:
That was mostly in prep for our wedding!
We had a couple's shower, prepped a ton of DIY wedding decorations, and had our Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties!
(I'll have to have full blog posts on Matt's and my Bachelor(ette) Parties, too much for this post!)
August 3, 2012

Needless to say, it was the best day of my life. We should be getting all of our photos TOMORROW! (We have been DYING). So I'll obviously be sure to share more then.
Also, I will definitely need like 3 or 4 or 10 blogs to explain the wedding in full detail. (Not so much because I think you care, but because I LOVE thinking about it).
This is such a vague post, it's killing me.
But to just cover the basics and check-in, it will do for now.
Yes, we love being married.
{Like more than anything, ever}
Also, we are living in our home.
And that is amazing and yes, you will be getting plenty of blogs about that in the upcoming months.
Okay, I really must go.
{I've just missed you all so much!}
Truly,
xo/Austin (HUSTON!)

I Need.
Now that school is out for summer, I have more time to think about shopping...
I have a list of things that I am pretty sure that I need.
Not want. Need.
Here they are!
Fit Bit.
This is the coolest thing ever.
It measures how many calories you burn, steps, stairs, distance, clock, stopwatch, sleep schedule. Basically it's the coolest thing I have ever seen... And I need one. I want it so so so bad. I am such a fitness geek. (Totally #1 on my list of needs PS)
Name a girl who doesn't love makeup, and I wouldn't even believe you.
This is Bobbi Brown, Shimmer Stick- Bronze.
I hear it looks perfect on anyone. I think this is a need.
Maaji Swimwear-Tsunami Sublime.
I am OBSESSED with this suit. Seriously... just ask Matt... I maybe have told him every day that I love it since the moment I saw it.
Mullet-Maxi Dress.
Holy Moly... The best of both worlds.
Gold eyeliner.
This looks SO pretty, I think I need it.
Home state necklace.
Home is where the heart is.
Need I say anything?
Run hoodie.
This is pretty much adorable.
Rise&Run Tone It Up tank.
How I love this.
Running Shoes.
I am in desperate need of new runners!
I have a weird issue where my feet tend to go numb during exercise (sometimes just walking).
I want to go to a shoe specialist store where they tell me which shoes are best for me... I hope they're cute.
New Make up bag.
I am in dyer need of a new case.
Anyone want to make me one??
I need these all... But mostly the Fit Bit and running shoes...
And the make up case...
And the Maaji suit... And maybe the dress...
(You get the point)
Sleepy time. (3 hours behind my normal bed time ahhhh!)

Buying Forgiveness with Humor.
So I know it's been like 3 weeks since I've posted.
I know I can't just come back after that and expect everyone to forgive me...
You all circle your lives around this blog, I need to remember how important it is for me to post... for my fans... So please, take these awesomely hilarious pictures as my sincerest form of apology. ;]
Childish, yet I giggled.
I have a theory for this.
This is Chad.
He is an aspiring fashion designer.
His problem is that he doesn't have a sewing machine to get started on his line.
He has the genius idea though to get married so he can register for a sewing machine and start on his dream of becoming Canada's Next Top Designer.
After the ceremony he goes to the gifts, finds the sewing machine and runs.
Paparazzi takes this picture on his way out of town...
[The people in the background are clearly not at all involved with this.]
Pretty sure my theory is right.
Anyone have a better one?
I think this is about 98x funnier than I think anyone else does.
So smooth.
Best coffee pick up line I ever heard was "Did you just stick your finger in my coffee?!" "uh, no." "Well why not? I asked for it extra sweet." That was pretty good... So It's a toss up between these two for coffee pick up lines for me.
Clearly all of my work is in vain.
Best way ever to wake up in the morning!
"the NAKED truth about our WAITRESSES is that they only FLIRT WITH YOU to get a bigger tip."
Best advertising EVER.
You can't not laugh.
"Happy almost 1 week anniversary."
Dentists are EVIL.
I've always thought this!
"Oh ok, now I won't purposely ram your car?"
Enjoy the laughs. I did :]
Hiatus over,
xo/Austin
