We're baaaack.
From Washington that is.
Actually we got back a couple weeks ago now.
And we picked up a puppy in Kentucky along the way!
Everybody this is Bane.
He is a Shiba Inu.
He is 10 weeks now.
And we love him.
Scratch that.
We are creepy, madly, obsessed, in love with him.
As though he was our first born.
He's so funny.
And naughty.
And fluffy.
And playful.
And naughty.
And cuddly.
Some of my favorite parts about him...
He likes to be on his back and for you to hold him like a baby.
He goes into our bedroom to take naps with us.
He jumps off of high objects.
He prances when he runs.
He can sit already!
He FREAKS out when we get home because he missed us so much.
Some of my least favorite parts about him...
He likes to growl at other dogs (until he gets too close then he realizes he's way too small to compete)
Need I continue?
He likes to bite his leash.
He bites my legs.
He chews on mostly anything.
But then he comes over and cuddles and I can't help but love him.
I think I will stop here..
I have made my point of how much we love him.
Expect lots more from this little munchkin.

To the Rainy State We Go...
As I write this I sit in an uncomfortable airport bench seat waiting for our (Matt + I) flight to start boarding back home to Washington!
We were a little over-zealous to get back home and might have arrived at our gate two hours before we have to leave... But that's okay because this gives me some time to catch up on a blog post...
And now you are caught up.
This week has been so crazy! Matt started driving at FedEx as an official driver. Kylie (SIL) + I started a 12 week training plan for our Half Marathon we are going to be running in Myrtle Beach this coming October. And Ryan and Kylie left Virginia for good to live in Washington. Leaving us all by our lonesome in Lynchburg.
At first we were devastated that they left. We still are, really. But we have had some clarity about the situation and we know that Lynchburg is where God is calling us to stay right now. Whether our best friends are here or not.
While that is all well and good, we are insanely excited to get home and see all of your beloved friends and family that we have missed for so long! It has been almost one entire year since we have been home and it is long overdue.
We have made a small bucket list of things we must do while we are back:
- Panda Express. (Matt is going to pee his pants when we finally get some Panda).
- Delicious coffee. We have missed our delicious coffee.
- Hiking! We love to hike and we don't get enough of it in Virginia. We want some REAL mountains!
- Pikes Place Market and doing the whole Seattle thing.
- Moses Lake trip for a couple of days!
- OUTLET MALL! We are ready for some MUCH better shopping.
- Some real seafood! Nothing is better than seafood from Seattle.
- Celebrating our one year anniversary! (yep, it's almost already been a year!)
- MOSTLY just spending time with the people we love more than anything.
Oh and the second best part? When we get back to Virginia we get a puppy!!
Well it's about time to board this flight. Wish us luck, like that we don't crash or anything.
See you in Seattle,
xo/Austin

How Long Has It Been Now?
Hello loves,
So you probably have given up on me. On my blog anyway. I kind of did too. But I decided that it's about time I start updating this thing so everyone back home (and anyone who might care) gets the scoop on whats happening in the life of the Hustons.
Sorry if you missed the blog. I have had a busy (almost) first year of marriage. School, work, marriage... it adds up to be a lot! I always felt like if I had my blog I'd have to update daily or almost daily. And well that just isn't an option in my life. So if you're willing to jump back on the roller coaster of inconsistency that is this blog thank you! If not, I don't blame you!
This last year has been amazing and crazy all rolled up into one mess of a ride. I only have 2 more semesters of school at Liberty University before I (hopefully) will be starting grad school for my Occupational Therapy degree! Matt has decided to go for a Bachelors degree in business and admin. while he decides what he wants to do after that. Nursing is not out of the picture, just not the only option as of right now. I kinda think he'd make a killer Pharmaceutical rep.
We are still in Virginia, livin' the dream ;] While we don't necessarily LOVE Lynchburg as much as we hoped we would, we are confident that we are still here in God's will and will most likely be here for another several years. Kylie & Ryan (my bro+sis in law) are moving back to Washington in like a week (literally) and we are more than devastated. But happy for their new journey starting. We will definitely miss them though.
We have a new addition to our family coming on August 7th! He is a Shiba Inu puppy and his name is Bane (you guessed it, like the Batman villain). We couldn't be anymore excited! Ready to grow this family of ours (but ONLY with a puppy, don't get your brain racing to babies just yet!)
Matt is working for FedEx as a driver now and I am working as a barista at a coffee stand around here.
We recently bought a 2008 Kia Optima and just sold Matt's 250 Ninja Kawasaki street bike. Looks like we're starting to grow up huh?
We will be visiting family and friends in Washington in less than two weeks and my have we missed them! We can't wait to catch up and go home for a short time. We know we are where we are supposed to be, but that doesn't mean we miss home!
Well that's the update for now. I have missed this and hope to be better dedicated to updating :] I will try for you, I promise!
So much love,
xo/Austin
