Christmas or Pinterests?

Forgive me friends, I have been stuck with no internet for the past week!
Also, I've of course been extremely busy!
How was your Christmas?

Mine was wonderful.
Christmas Eve we went to our family friend's for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner there!
Christmas Day I worked in the morning with my best friend.

This is what we wore.
We were Christmas elfs.
You should have seen it.
Mimi actually made the shoes and hats!
And we both made the tutu's.

Later that day I went over to Matt's and we went to their family friend's traditional dinner.
{needless to say, I did not starve this past weekend.}

I got all kinds of wonderful gifts.
I was definitely spoiled.
I just cannot wait until next Christmas!
{Our first being married <3}

How about you?
Best Christmas ever?

Now onto the real post...
You know what today is.

What was Pinteresting to you this week?

One:

This is made out of string. I had to pin it because my friend actually made me something like this for Christmas! I tell you people I am a SUCKER for homemade gifts. She made the state of Washington with a  heart where my home town is so I won't miss it while I am in Virginia. I love it so much.

Two:

I am dying to make this for my bed stand when we get married! It is a sewed piece that looks like notebook paper and then you can writ notes on the glass every morning to your love.

Three:

If you are wondering how to wear a scarf, this is my favorite. So simple, yet vintage cute at the same time!

Four:

Warning: this is a little scandalous. It is a pole dancing competition. If you ask me, though it is classy and actually really incredible. I think it would kind of be awesome to take a class pole dancing or something fun like that! To change up your work out and get in touch with your sexy side ;] Girls only though.

Five:

This is hysterical to me. Matt and I have been using this kid's face for everything. Every time we find something out that we think is awesome or when we wanna over exaggerate how great something is... this is the face we use.

Promise to keep up to date now that I have internet!
If you have a blog and think I should see it, let me know!

New Year here we come,

I Love Christmas.

I love Christmas.
I don't think I am the only one you know who would say that.

I love this entire season.

Some of my favorite Holiday treats:

One:
White Christmas.

I love it.
I mean, I really, really love the movie White Christmas.
I love the outfits, and the dancing, and the music.
I watch it at least 10 times every Christmas season.
It's bad.

Two:
Presents.

I love everything about presents.
Giving them, getting them, making them.
I just love the love that comes from giving presents!

Three:
Chai tea with egg nog.

It's sinfully good.
But definitely enough calories to fill up an entire day, so must be limited!

Four:
Coffee dates.

I feel like Christmas time, while everyone is home is the best time for coffee dates!
I can't wait to get back and catch up with some of my favorite people!

Five:
Opening Stockings.

I don't know why I love it so much.
It's always been my favorite part of Christmas morning!
It just reminds me of my mom and I love it!

Six:
Ugly Christmas Sweater Christmas Parties!

That's right, I love them.
I have the best ugly sweater, and I love to rock it!
Besides, when else can you dress hideously and be complimented?

Needless to say, I love Christmas.
Mostly everything about it.

Question: What are your favorite Christmas traditions?

Happy Holidays!

Christmas List.

With Christmas coming up, I have been thinking about presents to get for others...
and also what is on my Christmas list.

I know what my Christmas gift DIY is for this season, but I can't tell you and ruin the surprise!

I will share what's on my list though.

Christmas List:
One:

I am kind of a planner freak.
I have used these kind of planners from some random Korean shop on Ebay since Junior year, and I love them. Perfect size, perfect amount of space, cute. Perfect.

Two:

I am a big fan of Dia Frampton from The Voice! She has a new album, Red coming out in a few days and I am dying to have it!

Three:

Living with girls who are as make-up obsessed as my roommates are is not good for my makeup cravings! I love MAC makeup, and I just want more... not that I actually need it.

Four:

Nail Polish. Of all shapes and colors. <3

Five:

More Toms.

Six:

I don't know why I want one of these so bad... But I do.

Seven:

I love handbags. Have I already said that? What's that? I have? Okay well then you get it. I do not need a new one... but that doesn't stop me from wanting one.

Eight:
'

A cover/skin for my macbook.

Nine:

I'd love to read this book! And pretty much any other. I am very into reading these days and plan to spend much of my break catching up!

Ten:

A new cute coffee mug.

Are you sick of me talking about what I want?
Good, I'm tired of talking about it.

The truth is, I don't need anything for Christmas.
And I honestly don't expect anything for Christmas.
This year, maybe for the first time ever, I am not worried about gifts.

I'm not worried about getting them
I'm not concerned about getting any.
I am just so thankful to be able to come home for a month, and spend time with the people I love most.

So in conclusion, ignore this list.
Because what really is important is not what I want.
What is really important is friends and family.
Instead of getting me anything for Christmas, spend it here
Or at another foundation.

For someone who actually needs what is on their Christmas list.

For me, spending time is enough.
{If you're dying to give a gift, make it homemade, they're my favorite.}

I can't believe the countdown for Christmas is on!

Question: Though we don't always need gifts, what is on your Christmas list this year? OR What is a DIY Christmas gift you love to or are planning to make?

Bring on the Holidays,
xo/Austin

Thanksgiving Break.

I know I have been slacking at updating my poor little blog.
You guys will never guess what went down this last week.

Wendy came into town!
{if you knew her, you would know I can just leave it at that and it's already crazy enough!}

Day two:
She was here, we got a car!

He's a boy. His name is Jensen.
He is 1993 Honda Civic and only has 50,000 miles on him!
Can I get a hallelujah for no more walking everywhere?
Best part is, now I can apply to jobs not right by campus!

Day four-six:
We went to Virginia Beach!
Oh man it was amazing!

I swear this is the best time of the year to go to the beach--there is no one there!
We had some wonderful food, took some awesome pictures, and we just enjoyed the hotel room!
Another thing Virginia Beach does during this time, is set up a huge light display on the boardwalk (which happened to be right outside our window!)

It was really just what I needed to get in the Christmas spirit!

Day six:
Matty turned 20!
It was probably not the best birthday since we spent half of it in a car driving back to Lynchburg...

Nonetheless, I am officially engaged to an older man :P

Day eight:
Wendy bought a house!
That's right! She bought a house here in Lynchburg.
The plan is, she is buying the house so she can rent it out to Matt and I and Kylie and Ryan (Matt's sister and fiancé) while we are here attending Liberty. When we leave (wherever we decide to go) she will be a landlord and rent it out to people around here and hopefully make money on the home!

Kylie and Ryan will live in the basement (which will be like a whole separate house) and Matt and I will live up stairs. I know, it sounds crazy... but us four get along so well that I don't think there will be a problem at all! I am so excited to get pictures and house updates for you guys! And then move in in August when we come back married for school!

Day eight was also Thanksgiving, which we spent with Matt's Aunt and Uncle and their kids! It was very relaxing and a nice change of a home cooked meal!

Day nine:
Black Friday.

We left at 11:45pm and shopped from Midnight until 5 am.
Wendy got me a new pair of boots for Christmas!
{just wait until you see them, I am in love}
Matt made me wait in line at Target for an hour and 15 minutes to buy an PlayStation 3 that was on sale!
Needless to say, by 5am we were all just about comatose.
I then slept until 2pm that day!

While I was sleeping, Matt and Wendy went out and found a nearly new love seat and gigantic chair for our living room for a whopping $30.

{yes I do love to brag about the money we save}

Day ten:
Wendy left for home.
And our lives go back to normal for the next 3 weeks while we finish up classes.
Only a few more classes then finals.

We can do it!

Keep it Classy,
xo/Austin

Thursday Pinterests?

I apologize to you all and my poor blog for my neglecting you both!

I am hoping we all have some Pinterests on Thursdays too?

Here are some of mine!

One:

Christmas is coming! If only you knew my excitement. I am, as we all know, broke! So I'm trying to think of fun, inexpensive gifts to get or make for my loved ones. I love the idea of these homemade reusable sleeves! Now my problem is that I don't know how to sew... but I still love the idea.

Two:

I want it. It's a Pomeranian/Husky mix! I'm in love,

Three:

I have been craving any and every kind of sea food lately! These spring rolls look amazing. I am tempted to find some rice wrappers and make some of these... I will let you know if I do!

Four:

You all know how much I love thinking and planning my wedding! The only thing I like to think about more than my wedding is about being a wife! I can't wait to be a wife and have our own family some day! I love this idea for a fun surprise for a hubby or a kid, dontcha think?

Five:

It really just doesn't get any better than this. Please, don't miss a part of this picture. We've got a rat tail, a wool sweater with a pink shirt underneath, glasses from the 80's, and of course the cat that looks like it is about to lose it. Enjoy this.

I'm sorry for neglecting you, loves.

Only 5 more weeks left in the semester. Then I will be less busy.

{I think I just lied, pretty sure life isn't ever going to slow down, but maybe I'll get better at carrying the load?}

I hope your week is going well, I'd love to hear from you!

Weekend here we come!

Question: What are you Pinterested in this week?
