The Blog is Back.

Hey guys, sorry for the hiatus.
You could say it was a busy summer.
But I'm back in Virginia, in school again, and am ready to pick Love Like A Hurricane back up!
Hope you all forgive me for being gone so long!

Here's a recap of my crazy, amazing summer!

May:

May was mostly dedicated to prep for Ryan and Kylie's wedding!

Including, bridal showers, couple showers, and bachelorette parties!

It was a crazy busy month, but so much fun!

June 22, 2012:

That was Ryan and Kylie's wedding.

It was the first wedding of the summer, and it was one that was hard to live up to!

It was so much fun celebrating my new brother and sister-in-law getting married! And we had SUCH a blast!

June 30, 2012:
That was my best friend, Miriam and Marcus's wedding!

It was such a blessing to get to experience my best friend's big day with her!

I was also forced against my own will (mainly because I was the Maid of Honor) to give a speech, in which leading up to I was 95% sure I was going to hyperventilate and die. (I didn't die if you were curious).

Also, one of my biggest nightmares happened that day... My only job being the MOH was to bring Marcus' ring... I had it in my purse, safely stored all day so I wouldn't lose it. So safe that I didn't even bring it on stage for the ceremony. :/ TERRIBLE MAID OF HONOR!

July:

That was mostly in prep for our wedding!

We had a couple's shower, prepped a ton of DIY wedding decorations, and had our Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties!

(I'll have to have full blog posts on Matt's and my Bachelor(ette) Parties, too much for this post!)

August 3, 2012
That was the day I married my best friend.

Needless to say, it was the best day of my life. We should be getting all of our photos TOMORROW! (We have been DYING). So I'll obviously be sure to share more then.

Also, I will definitely need like 3 or 4 or 10 blogs to explain the wedding in full detail. (Not so much because I think you care, but because I LOVE thinking about it).

This is such a vague post, it's killing me.
But to just cover the basics and check-in, it will do for now.

Yes, we love being married.
{Like more than anything, ever}
Also, we are living in our home.
And that is amazing and yes, you will be getting plenty of blogs about that in the upcoming months.

Okay, I really must go.
{I've just missed you all so much!}

Truly,

I Need.

Now that school is out for summer, I have more time to think about shopping...
I have a list of things that I am pretty sure that I need.
Not want. Need.
Here they are!
Fit Bit.
This is the coolest thing ever.
It measures how many calories you burn, steps, stairs, distance, clock, stopwatch, sleep schedule. Basically it's the coolest thing I have ever seen... And I need one. I want it so so so bad. I am such a fitness geek. (Totally #1 on my list of needs PS)
Name a girl who doesn't love makeup, and I wouldn't even believe you.
This is Bobbi Brown, Shimmer Stick- Bronze.
I hear it looks perfect on anyone. I think this is a need.
Maaji Swimwear-Tsunami Sublime.
I am OBSESSED with this suit. Seriously... just ask Matt... I maybe have told him every day that I love it since the moment I saw it.
Mullet-Maxi Dress.
Holy Moly... The best of both worlds.
Gold eyeliner.
This looks SO pretty, I think I need it.
Home state necklace.
Home is where the heart is.
Need I say anything?
Run hoodie.
This is pretty much adorable.
Rise&Run Tone It Up tank.
How I love this.
Running Shoes.
I am in desperate need of new runners!
I have a weird issue where my feet tend to go numb during exercise (sometimes just walking).
I want to go to a shoe specialist store where they tell me which shoes are best for me... I hope they're cute.
New Make up bag.
I am in dyer need of a new case.
Anyone want to make me one??

I need these all... But mostly the Fit Bit and running shoes...
And the make up case...
And the Maaji suit... And maybe the dress...
(You get the point)

Sleepy time. (3 hours behind my normal bed time ahhhh!)

Buying Forgiveness with Humor.

So I know it's been like 3 weeks since I've posted.
I know I can't just come back after that and expect everyone to forgive me...
You all circle your lives around this blog, I need to remember how important it is for me to post... for my fans... So please, take these awesomely hilarious pictures as my sincerest form of apology. ;]

Childish, yet I giggled.

I have a theory for this.
This is Chad.
He is an aspiring fashion designer.
His problem is that he doesn't have a sewing machine to get started on his line.
He has the genius idea though to get married so he can register for a sewing machine and start on his dream of becoming Canada's Next Top Designer.
After the ceremony he goes to the gifts, finds the sewing machine and runs.
Paparazzi takes this picture on his way out of town...
[The people in the background are clearly not at all involved with this.]
Pretty sure my theory is right.
Anyone have a better one?

I think this is about 98x funnier than I think anyone else does.

So smooth.
Best coffee pick up line I ever heard was "Did you just stick your finger in my coffee?!" "uh, no." "Well why not? I asked for it extra sweet." That was pretty good... So It's a toss up between these two for coffee pick up lines for me.

Clearly all of my work is in vain.

Best way ever to wake up in the morning!

"the NAKED truth about our WAITRESSES is that they only FLIRT WITH YOU to get a bigger tip."
Best advertising EVER.
You can't not laugh.

"Happy almost 1 week anniversary."

Dentists are EVIL.

I've always thought this!
"Oh ok, now I won't purposely ram your car?"

Enjoy the laughs. I did :]

Hiatus over,

White Denim.

I recently bought a pair of white jeans.
Which I have been (as you all know) wanting for about forever now.
They're Rock and Republics.
(Which apparently means nothing to most of the state of Virginia)
And also, I got them for 50% off.
(There I go braggin' on my deals again!)

(I look almost exactly like this in them.)
(noooooope, that was a lie)
(But they're still super cute, I swear)

It has actually been a rather informative day wearing my white denim.
You learn things wearing white jeans that you maybe never knew before.
Here are a few of the things I've learned.

One:
I have a really bad habit of wiping my dirty hands on my jeans like I'm a 7-year old boy.
(Which normally I get away with, but white jeans, not so much)
Two:
Coffee is far too big of a priority in my life.
And because I MUST drink it, it gives me serious anxiety while wearing white jeans.
(You're all saying "you're JUST realizing this?")
Three:
I enjoy bright and staining foods all too often!
Four:
The world is a dirty place.
One which I instantly become aware of the moment the jeans are zipped.
Five:
Life is stressful wearing white, no wonder "nobody wears white after Labor Day."
Six:
I believe that I will learn to use the beautiful thing called bleach this weekend.

Ultimately my decision about my new jeans is that I am in love with them
They are totally worth wearing even with all of the above factoring into the cleanliness of them.
Everyone should own a pair of white denim jeans.
(But not everyone should wear them on the same day... that would just be far too stressful)

Happy Friday!

Twenty-one Days.

So I'm a planner maniac.
I find peace in planning out what is to come with my day, week, month, year, you name it.
This morning I have been filling in what needs to be done for the next several months.
What I am realizing is how awesome it is that I come home in exactly 21 days.
Wanna see what my life looks like until I come home?
(Probably not. But this is my blog and I do what I want) ;]

April 20:
Mark Driscoll comes to Convocation.
(You bet it's in my planner. And you better believe we will be going NUTS when he says "Seattle!")

April 22:
Beach Volleyball game!
(Against death from above... that's intimidating)

April 25:
Lab practical for Anatomy Lab.

April 26:
Research Paper Due.
(The one I spent literally 9 hours working on all yesterday)

April 29:
Volleyball finals!
(West Coast-Best Coast!)

May 1:
Last day of official classes!

May 3-7:
Finals :\

May 10:
On a flight out of Lynchburg to SeaTac at 5:30 am.
(The whole gang is flying together--Matt, Ky, Ry, myself and Sarah!)
(Sarah is all of our friend who is in both weddings!)

That's it my friends!
How are your classes/work going?

Since I only have 21 days until I get back to good ol' Enumclaw, I am making some 21 day goals for myself! (Because like I have said in the past, 21 days makes a habit).

Here they are:

One:

Workout every single day!
(So far this week I have awaken early so I can get in a quick work out before class... Yes, I think I deserve a high five for that one. It's actually given me tons more energy than I have when I don't do that, so I've been popping out of bed at the first sound of my alarm!)

Two:
(I have $54 in my checking account... My goal is to not dip into my savings in order to sustain my life for the next 3 weeks. Impossible you say? We'll see, I am a college kid you know? We're extra talented at finding creative ways to save money. And there is a plasma bank in town... I could always donate some plasma to make $40. Yeah, that might be going too far.)

Three:
(Note: This is not a goal by choice, but more of no other option. I only have 3 more free drink cards for the campus Starbucks and then I'm done with coffee until I get home or someone else wants to buy me coffee... Bad time to run out of coffee money right before finals!)

Four:
(ROCK my finals!)

How I love plans and how I love feeling ready for what is to come!!
Lets kill it the next 21 days!

love,
xo/Austin
